A Day in The Fictional World of Fox...as the Real World Continues On.....

The Mosque Hysteria continues on in Fox News. I almost fell out of my chair when some of the talking heads in Fox bashed Prince Al Waleed of Saudi Arabia and his Kingdom Foundation for the support extended to Cordoba House. Someone had to tell those talking heads that Prince Al Waleed is the second biggest shareholder of News Corp (the parent of Fox) after the Murdoch Family. They're about to launch a new Channel targeting the Arab World to counter Al Jazeera. There is of course the continued attack machine that is becoming rather bizzare. What was so bizzare was the fiction pushed by Don Senor. For those who may not remember him, he was part of the gang that ran Iraq after the fall of Saddam. What is also sad to note that he was working for USC as a researcher. Jon Stewart talked about it during his Monday Show. All I can say is this: God Bless Jon Stewart. He said it best: to stop the funding to the Mosque, stop watching Fox News!!!

As the Mosque Hysteria has continued to be the focal point over at the fictional world of Fox, other true news organizations were focused on what was happening here and now. CNN, for instance, was focused on the election results. I released a write-up on it earlier in KP's sister site, Outsider Views. I realize that CNN is a liberal, commie, left-wing organization that has no soul. Yet, there was a genuine effort to try and at least make sure the real news was being reported. The World, also, is truly moving on and thinking about the future.

One emerging phenonmenon that should be noticed is the emergence of the "Other 11". This was a phrase developed by the Goldman Sachs Guru who coined the term BRIC--Britain, Russian, India & China. One of the 11, for instance, is Indonesia. Indonesia is the largest Muslim Company in the World. It has a GDP of $ 540 Billion Dollars. It has a President that I personally admire. The President, while running in his first election, also was busy defending his dissertation for his Doctorate. This is not to dismiss the challenges of Indonesia. The gap between the rich and poor is ever more. The shocking plight of the polluted river through Jakarta was shocking to say the least. But, still, it is a force to be reckoned with. I have to wonder what Liz Cheney, Newt Gingrich and the rest of the Islamophohic gang will say to the President of Indonesia. I will be writing about the "other 11" throughout the ensuing days and weeks.

The World is moving on. There are countries who are actually truly focused on educating their young, providing healthcare for all and planning out for the future. There are also countries who actually have taken the time to actually implement true "Smart Government". I have periodically written about it in "Outsider Views". Estonia has introduced a National ID card that insures that all basic Government Services are done through some sort of a biometric process. The goal has been to fully digitize Governmental Affairs. According to the reports I have seen, they have worked to train other countries.

What has been happening in Estonia is poison to Glenn Beck and Company. I have been truly trying to find a reasonable Republican to reassert the Party of Linclon. Instead of focusing on the real challenges and offering real solutions, Beck's crusade to reclaim civil rights on August 27 is the talk of the town on Conservative Circles. What I am trying to understand is how Fox is allowing its' stars to push their own books and ideas and use it as a platform. The fiction that they peddle is starting to get really bothersome. I am reminded of the scene in Advise and Consent and the character played by George Gizzard. He was called out by the Majority Leader and the Majority Leader told him that the Country has survived Patriots like him. The historical fact is that America has survived Patriots like Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin.A

As I survey the current actors on the Republican Scene, I am trying to find someone in the mold of David Cameron who has taken the bold courageous steps to make everyone understand that times are changing. There is one guy that does come close: The Governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels. I regard him as a Dark Horse that is worth watching.
