A Fascination w/Hilda Solis
Hilda Solis: Secretary of Labor-Designate
Hilda Solis is Mr. Obama's choice to head the U.S. Department of Labor. Her confirmation hearing is starting up. She is known as a progressive and comes from Los Angeles. She is a resident of the City of La Puente, which is near East Los Angeles. I have perodically followed her political career and am fascinated by her fighting spirit. She is part of the same team that includes Gloria Molina, Lucille Roybal-Allard, the Sanchez Sisters and yes, Maxine Waters. They are a powerful bunch of ladies. From what I have read of Hilda Solis, she will be an effective advocate for the working men and women of America especially during the tough times we have before us now. It will be a refreshing change after the 8 years of the Bush Trainwreck.
