A Sad Day in Washington

Yesterday was a sad day in Washington. A racist bigot walked into the US Holocaust Memorial and started shooting. A security guard has died. The racist is still clinging to life, apparently. The Security Guard is a hero for having prevented more deaths. I hope that the Government seems to it that his family is taken care of.
What should be concerning is Domestic Terrorism. The Department of Homeland Security warned about this very thing. The subsequent uproar led to the Secretary issuing an apology. But the essential fact remained that the rise of the rightwing fring and racist groups is something we must guard against every day. I wonder what the reaction would have been if the attacker was not white. Why can't we come together as a country? People should remember this admonition:
