A Tale of Two Women.....
In the United States, Hilda Solis is yet to be confirmed as Secretary of Labor. I have seen reports that her confirmation is slated for Feburary 24. The issues of the taxes and her affliiation with union-friendly organizations has stalled. The committee has reported it out favorably. I am looking for this issue to be resolved soon.
Halfway around the world in Israel, my endorsed candidate for the Prime Minister of Israel, Tipzi Livni, is locked in a struggle to form the next Government. I have written about my fears on the swing to the right in israel. Yet, I somehow remain optimistic that cooler heads will prevail. I hope that Tipzi Livni is able to form a strong and vibrant Government so that her vision of a two-state solution can be implemented for the sake of Israel and the region.
