Afghanistan: Trying to Do the Right Thing (Perhaps?)
Karzai the fool has ordered a review of the law I reported on a few days ago on the rights of women. This came as a result of the pressure brought to bear by the NATO Secretary General and other Western Powers.
As I reviewed the comments, I was simply amazed by how Karzai showed himself to be an absolute puppet of the West. If he truly believed in bringing Afghanistan into the 21st Century and lived up to the courage of his convictions, he would have vetoed it. But he decided to be a typical flip-flopper. It is simply sad to have put so much stock in this man, who may well be reelected in three months time.
