Afghanistan: Will Things Change?

I continue to be horrifed as to the situation in Afghanistan. A day does not pass by without someone being killed. The Taliban are out there, there is yet to be a winner of the Presidential Election declared while the war rages on nonstop. One wonders if there is any hope at all?
