Aung San Suu Kyi : What now?

May 21st 2009 06:31
The Symbol of Political Courage

Aung San Suu Kyi's trial is entering its second day. I marvel at how she has dealt with so much that has been thrown at her. After having written about it and thought it, I have come to one simple conclusion about the thugs and thieves who run Burma: they're just cowards. They hide behind their guns and their uniforms and make belief world while the rest of Burma suffers. They have every right to be afraid of Aung San Suu Kyi because she is the real deal. The UK Ambassador said that the result has already been decided. I wonder how come the Senior General himself did not have the guts to come down and tell it to her face. They can't even abide by their own Constitution. That's the funny part.

Mike, I think this is part of the Myanmar's government conspiracies, where they don't want Aung San Suu Kyi to be involved in the upcoming national election. If she did, then she'll probably wins the election!

Hi Wilson,

Thanks for the visit. I absolutely agree wth you. As the Burma Campaign in the UK just noted in a recent advisory, Burma is the only country where such things can happen. The trial is a sham and unless she's actually released, it shows the hollowness of the Burmese Regime.

The thugs for Burma are terrified of her. I believe it. The problem , as i see it, is that as longa s the Chinese and the Thais back the thugs in Burma, not much is going to change. She is one courageous and tough lady. I wonder how she continues to endure such hardship.

what does aung san suu kyi has that make him so special?
For me, choosing a leader of a nation, is based on the capabilities not the charismatic.

yulius: Thanks for the visit.....

It appears that the thugs in Burma think otherwise. Then why has she been held in house arrest? furthermore, she was elected by the national league of democracy...
