The World's Burden
The thugs and thieves who are running Burma are at it again. They are to charge Aung San Suu Kyi because an American swimmed to her house and stayed there for two days. I think the American who did it is an idiot. To put her in danger is irresponsible beyond words. She has been through so much and continues to suffer with no end in sight. The World stays silent.
Although organizations like the Burma Campaign, Avaaz.org and others have worked quite dilligently in trying to spread the word on Burma, the fact remains that the thugs are in charge, they will be in charge and the world has been totally impotent to do anything about it. I also commend the Elders for having named her as an honoray elder so that the world continues to remember this courageous woman. As long as the Chinese and The Thais make money and the thugs line their pockets, nothing else matters. Why should they when they can do this while the whole country is starving:
