As I mentioned earlier Rush Limbaugh and his racist speech has to be more than just a few hate-mongers left in the world. the fact that his views are so broadly syndicated is surely some proof that a lot more people than would admit as nodding their heads along with him.
Well now it seems that we can identify those people by their lapel pins. Apparently at one booth at the Republican State Convention in Texas this nifty little pin was being sold. I'm sure someone thought they were just being so witty and clever, unfortunately that someone was wrong.
Now the GOP has at least told the vendors of this pin not to return and made a partial attempt at apologizing. I say partial attempt because they never actually used the words "I'm sorry." Instead their response was simply that they were stunned and had no idea. Though, something in my gut tells me it is in the same vein as my oldest telling me that he is stunned and has no idea how his little brother learned how to get into the kitchen cabinet without actually apologizing for taking the gate off in the first place.
What may be the saddest part is that I'm actually glad to hear they weren't also selling these. My expectations just went up a couple points.
