Israel: When will the drama end?
The Israeli eletions was inconclusive. I was pleased to see that my endorsed candidate, Tipzi Livni, did as well as she did. She heads the biggest party in Parliament and overcome profound odds. But, the Israeli President has asked Bibi to form the next Government.
Bibi's view is that the Palestinians should not have a state and shall remain stateless. He wants to give them "economic rights". It seems to me that some different thinking should be in by Bibi as he works to form the next Government. It will be interesting if Tipzi Livni will accept Bibi's invitation to join the Government. Bibi has to realize that peace will depend on being bold and not be tied into the old dogma. They have agreed to continue talking.
Besides the on-going Palestinian issue, one other thing of concern is Iran. The Israelis are convinced that Iran will have the bomb within a year. Unfortunately, this exact narrow-minded policy insured that Iranian moderates were undermined and allowed the fools to be on the ascendancy in Iran right now.
The drama continues.....
