Israel's Shift to the Right is Complete....
Reports coming out of Israel note that Kadima, Tipzi Livni's Party, is retaining a one seat lead. But, I believe that Bibi will be successful in forming the next Government. Lieberman, the King Maker who is calling for Israeli Arabs to sign a loyalty oath, was Bibi's Chief of Staff before falling out with him. But, the fact remains that Israel is shifting to the right. It bodes ill for the Israel, the peace process and the region.
The idea of relegating Palestinians to live in apartheid-like conditions should be appallling indeed. But, it seems as if that is the verdict of the people of Israel:
Israel received 10 Million Dollars a day from the United States. It seems as if it ought to get something back in return. This notion of "tough love" must be shown. Whether the political will exists to get it done is another question.
