KP News Flash: Iran's Mousavi May be under arrest!!!
There is an unconfirmed report that the leading challenger in Iran''s Presidential election is under house arrest. Facebook reports say that as he was leaving his home to reach a demonstration at the Quba Mosque, he was detained by security forces. But, Karoubi did make it there.
Despite the push for normalcy, it clearly appears that the dispute will continue to escalate. When someone who was a favorite of the founder of the Islamic Republic is detained, that is huge. The Islamic Revoutionary Guard Corp seems to be tightening their grip on the country.
Update: As of right now, there is word that he is not under arrest as per this report on Mr. Mousavi's facebook page, "...Mir Hossein Mousavi میر حسین موسو& #1740; Mir Hossein Mousavi is not under house arrest, he is not about to leave the country, he is under strong pressure to end this. but he always said he will stand for the people's will to the end ! He is amongst people ..., but under extreme pressure to end his challenge...."
