Matthew Hoh first US official to resign over Afghan War
Matthew Hohn submitted his resignation from his position in the US Foreign Service. For him to walk away from such a position, it means that he saw a lot that was going wrong with the current strategy the United States is pursuing. It takes a lot to join the Foreign Service and for him to walk away shows the level of frustruation that will be hard to overcome.
This is quite an indicement. He was even taken to see Richard Holbrooke. This shows the level of anxiety that apparently was felt at the highest echelon of the Adminstration. The time to make the call is becoming ever more closer.
