KP Newsflash (3/31/2010): Bravo Kay Bailey Hutinchson....
One of the most interesting pieces of news that I saw as the Quarter came to a close was the decision by U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutinchson. She ran for Governor of Texas and was beaten badly by Rick Perry, the current sitting Governor.
She had committed to leave the Senate, but decided to stay put. I salute her for it becuase she did not give Perry the chance to name her replacement. She noted that there is a "lot to do" in Washington. But, as the election season gets under way in Texas, I hope that Democrat Bill White will be able to send Rick Perry packing so that a sense of sensible. Texas is changing and hopefully Bill White will be able to ride that change to the Texas State House in Austin.
