KP Newsflash (5/10/2010):Lieberman Strikes Again
Joe Lieberman strikes, yet again!!!
Although I was shocked at first when I saw the accounts of his scheme, I was not truly surprised. His latest scheme is to introduce what he and some cosponsors call the "Terriorism Expatriation Act". The act, basically, authorizes US Citizens to be stripped of their citizenship if found to be terrorists. The co-sponsor is Scott Brown, the man from Massachuttes. For someone who was an Attorney General and Chair of Homeland Security, it seems to me that he ought to think this through to realize the constitutionality of it all.
He seems to forget that the US still has a Constitution. I was glad to see that the Attorney General, Eric Holder, expressed reservations about it. I hope it does not see the light of day.
