KP Week-End (7/4/2010): Refuse 2 Be Discouraged
This is Independence Day Week-End in America. I released a retrospective in KP's sister site, Outsider Views. Despite all that I write about and am concerned about, I re-read this prayer that helps me to stay focused despite all my challenges. It is worth remembering as our World continues to be ever more faced with challenges day in and day out:
Refuse to be discouraged
Refuse to be distressed,
For when we are despondent
Our lives cannot be blessed,
For doubt and fear and worry
Close the door to faith and prayer
For there's no room for blessings
When we'r elost in deep despair.
So remember when you're troubled
With uncertainity and doubt
It is best to tell our Father
What our fear is all about.
For unless we seek His Guidance
When troubled times arise
We are bound to make decisions
That are twisted and unwise.
But when we view our problems
Through the eyes of God above,
Misfortunes turn to blessings
And hatred turns to love.
We must all remember that during this rather anxious times.
