KP Week-End (8/15/2010): The Assault on Net Neutrality
The Google/Verizon partnership has been the talk of the tech world over the past couple of weeks. They have basically decided to create a two tier system and to regulate content. Both companies have vehemently denied it. As I listen to the alternative media on this, I remain profoundly concerned as a "New Media Practictioner".
It appears that the FCC has tried to intervene to no avail. I have always regarded the Internent as the Great Equalizer. I have to wonder whether the FCC will allow these guys to get away with it. The final chapter is yet to the written.
