Meanwhile...in ZImbabwe......
Zimbabwe seems to have fallen off the map. But, Zimbabwe continues to be politically paralyzed. It seems as if for each one step forward, there are two steps back. The MDC seems to again be on the receiving end of attacks by ZANU-PF.
Yesterday, Mugabe came out criticizing the MDC for boycotting the Government and committing himself to working within the framework of agreement he signed. I laughed when I saw that statement. The Butcher Mugabe seems not to realize that he is the problem. When Mugabe's wife owns one of the premier millk producing farms in the country, there is truly nothing to talk about. Until such time as true reform is at hand, Zimbabwe will continue to be in this state of paralysis.
I saw a report on Friday that Joseph Kabila, SADC's Chairman and the President of Congo went out to Harrare to break an impasse in discussions. I laughed at this as well. Kabila's own country is pretty much a failed state because of all the challenges Congo has. I wonder when the butcher will wake up and give up power. What I find tragic was that he could have had the same position as Mandela. Yet, he decided to be another tyrant who just lined up his own pocket and to what end?
