Mexico: What Now?
I listened with fascination to the interview with Jorge Castañeda, the Former Foreign Minister of Mexico:

Although I appreciate his zeal for his country, some of the things he said makes perfect sense. He is one of the key players that advocates the legalization of drugs. The debate has to happen because 29,000 people have died since Felipe Calderon launched his "War of Choice" against the Cartels. Although Calderon has tacitly accepted the need to visit this subject that has been taboo so far.
The need to revisit this "War" is as important as ever. Breaking the back of the gangs will be a start. If Proposition 19 passes in California, things will change.
