Republicans In Action
As I write this, the US Senate Finance Committee was still in session working on Chairman Max Baucus's Write-up. John Ensign was there asking questions. That's fine. Yet, his illicit affair continues to be in the news:
As the Ensign story continues on, there is David Vitter's new-found family values mantra as he runs for re-election. I have seen reports that a complaint has been filed against the Louisiana Bar. I have also seen some reports that the scandal in Washington is not the only scandal.
Mr. Vitter says that this is all "politically motivated" and Mr Ensign wants to run for re-election. There is an election and I am sure that the people will see through the charade. I believe in second chances. Should these gentlemen be given a second chance? I would leave it to the voters of Nevada and Louisiana.
