Rove v Biden: Does it matter?

I read about Vice President Biden's recent comments about meetings he had with George W. Bush. Karl Rove came out on Fox and called the Vice President a Blowhard (basically a liar) and denied that the meeting ever took place. I have also seen comments from Ari Fleischer demanding that the Vice President provide a date for the meeting.

I think that the Obama Adminstration must ignore the antics that former Bush officials pull off. Bush is the past. I also think that the Vice President needs to stop talking about the Bush Years and his conversations. As it is, Bushies are quite busy working on a legacy remake. There is no way that that history will be kind to an Admisntration that presided over the implosion of the World Economy, got America into two disastrous wars and destroyed the immense goodwill the whole world had after the nightmare of 9/11. This is an Adminstration that used this excuse to destroy civil rights and promote the notion of a unitary executive that could do anything with no accountability for their actions. Rove and the rest of the Bushies are fun to watch and laugh at. What is sad is that they seem to forget what they have done to the United States and the world. Rove seems to forget that he was one of the primary movers behind exposing a CIA covert agent. He has been implicated in the prosecution of Don Siegleman. He has had his hand in the politicization of the Justice Department. I continue to wonder why he and the rest of the Bushies are even listened to. The infotaminment industry has to have something to write about.

I am convinced that America does not want to go back. America has to move ahead. I suppose that the Adminstration has to remind the country and the world of the problems they have inherited. Getting into the gutter with the former Bushies will not serve anyone. The country and the world have bigger challenges to deal with than listening to a discredited operative who had his moment in the sun and whose time has passed.
