Sarah Palin Unplugged
Sarah Palin's Long-Awaited Memoir, Going Rogue, has been released and she is beginning a 36-City Book Tour. As I have traveled over the last few days I have also caught glimpses of her interviews with Oprah and Barbara Walters whereby she has been trying to "settle" some scores.
What I found amusing what how the rightwing mouthpiece, The Media Research Center, criticized Bob Schieffer's characterization of her as an amusement. Beyond the amusement factor, there is of course the apparent real problems with her statements in the book itself. There will be enough said about her throughout the book tour. She will sell a lot of books and may end up with a show just like another fellow ex-Governor, Mike Huckbaee. America is fascinated with celebrities. But, celebrities have lousy habit of burning out very quickly because folks will move on.
I hope she enjoys her 15 minutes in the sun. Running for President, though, is a whole different ballgame, though.
