Surprisingly the fliers being handed out, on National HIV Testing Day, were full of information on how to prevent HIV and where to go to be tested. Who would have guessed that? What happened next is hardly a surprise however. The "pro-life" groups realized that preventing HIV and testing to be able to begin treatment as soon as possible might actually be a good thing for the living, including the babies they claim to want to help. Which is exactly why they stepped in and had the event canceled by Wal-Mart.

Now it would seem to me that the less people infected with HIV the better. Especially for a group so caught up in their "save the babies" rhetoric. HIV prevention means less infected parents, and the same safe sex actions that work to prevent HIV infection will work to prevent unwanted pregnancies. By blocking Planned Parenthood from helping people it would seem that this "pro-life" group actually wants HIV infected parents and numerous unwanted pregnancies that could be aborted.

So much for the babies.

Good see that Wal-Mart refused to sell their souls to the devil. bless them, those fine upstanding citizens and doyens of all that is good and righteous.

wow i thought i had seen some of the most ignorant statements ever made here on Orble but American Life League now takes the cake

Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in the country, has teamed up with a Wal-Mart Supercenter, an affiliate of the largest retailer in the country, in an effort to supersize their campaign to sell sex to children.

when are people going to get it through their thick heads that their kids are having sex already, or will be in the near future?

it really saddens me to think how many people have caught HIV and died due to ignorance . . . you cant watch your kids at all times, they will eventually leave the house and have to make their own decisions and as a parent it is your duty to arm them with the information to protect themselves

Oh but Morgan, they think they ARE arming them- with the Bible.

That's true Ruby, in their eyes belief in God is enough to prevent HIV infection.

Orwell said it best;

IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH!!!!

And these morons LOVE to wallow in their own spiritual/mental pigshit ignorance, they love it! They do it knowingly, use the term "god" to justify any bigoted and hate filled staement and/or action, and think because they are large in numbers with some political sway, that makes them beyond criticism and eternally right.

Frankly, there should be a programme for these sorts, and the gay haters, an enforced full frontal lobotomy!!
cheers

Yes indeed, Fog - they do love to wallow in their ignorance. They take any challenge to that ignorance as a direct threat and respond as forcefully and as hatefully as they can.
