Sotomayor's Hearings: Day 2



The Second Day of the Sonia Sotomayor came to a conclusion with the Judge holding her own against a relentless barage of questions regarding the "Wise Latina" remark. The interaction with Senator Graham was especially telling. Senator Graham cited comments by lawyers about how "tough" she was and questioned her temperment. Although Senator Graham noted that he "liked" her and would probably vote for her, just the tone of questioning was a bit over the top to say the least. I would think that the country needs judges who are tough on lawyers and do indeed come down to be fair in their judging through the application of the law and precedence. She has passed this test with flying colors.
