The 4th Estate at Work: About Time!!!
Erik Roberts is a Soldier who served in Iraq and had to go through at least 13 surgeries to save his leg. He got a bill for 3,000 Dollars for an out-of-system service. CNN started asking questions. Hours later, the VA said they will pay for it.
As I read this account on CNN, I thought about all who are being left out in the cold. What happened with Sergeant Roberts was an example of the Press doing what was right. I do get quite worried about the Press disappearing. I wonder about that vigliance that will not be around if the newspapers keep dying. There has to be a way to figure out how to save the institution so that it can be serve as a beacon of hope.
