The Afghan Comedy Show
As I write this, Afghanistan's Presidential Election is still up in the air. Karzai the fool is still the President. Of course, he can't even hold sway over Kabul. KAL captured the sense of what is going on so well. Under the guise of so-called Democracy, over 100,000 US and NATO soldiers are trying to give Afghanistan some semblance of Government for window dressing only. The misguided policies of the last thirty years has come back to haunt the world in a major way. What I am confident up is that the sophisticated, smooth-talking used car salesman who calls himself President of Afghanistan is not the answer. Beyond that, everything else is up in the air.
