The Election In Israel

Israel will be holding elections. Olmert had his final cabinet meeting today. For the sake of peace in the region, I hope that Tipzi Livni wins. I did not agree with her stance on the war in Gaza. But, she has been one of the voices of reason in an Israeli political scene that has increasingly turned to the right.

As I await the results of the Israeli Election, I am not sure whether my endorsement will help Ms.Livni. But, at least she will have a shot to at least talk about peace. I wonder if she would be courageous enough, though.
