The Obama Phenonmeon
In visiting a bookstore, I marveled at all the books and other memorablia that continues to be pushed as Obama has taken the oath of office. Coin Companies, Historical Societies and other entities continue to push "Obama Gear". I am sure that others throughout the world have done brisk business in T-Shirts and other memorablia. The only thing is how the Obama Girls have been brought into this. I commend the First Lady for speaking up in condemning the dolls that have come out recently. The Kids ought to be left alone. I hope that everyone respects that. The pressure is immense as it is. Those of us who write about it and care should at least have a certain sense of deceny in how we handle matters. Some seem to forget that. It is a shame.
