Zimbabwe: A Brief Update
The struggle in Zimbabwe continues. Unfortunately, the focus that the world has had on Zimbabwe has withered away. Yet, Mugabe and his cronies still continue to be on a rampage. The Prime Minister is trying his best, but Mugabe hangs on to power and continues on with his rhetoric to the frustruation of all.
Since Zimbabwe adopted the Dollar and the Rand, there appears to have been some stability in the economic sphere. But, that is not enough. Furthermore, it seems to me that there has to be some accountability on what happened with the White-Owned farms. When I read Nestle buying milk from a White-Owned Farm owned by Mugabe's Wife, Grace, it clearly showed how bad things continue to be. Why does the wife of the President of Zimbabwe own 12,000 acres? What is the impetus? What qualifications does she have?
The struggle for Zimbabwe is not over by any means.
